The Reaction Wall in structural laboratory which will be built in Suzhou University of Science and Technology belongs to a kind of special structure. It is 14.6 meters high, with its length of 20 meters and another 16 meters to form an L shape. Box-foundation is considered to be its foundation form. It can fulfill the demands of biaxial or even three-dimensional loading pattern and also meets the college’s loading device development.By visiting and investigating the ever constructed reaction wall of other universities, basic cognition has been formed. According to the loading condition, combined with the typical choices of the reaction wall, its structural shape is established.The article first calculate the prestressed reaction wall of one college, then, the accuracy of the calculation method is finished. To the determined form of reaction wall, the corresponding simplified calculating model can be set up under the two plans, furthermore, checking the maximum deflection and the crack width are also essential, accompanied with analysis software to verify the rationality of the model and results in the non-linear static analysis, finding that the prestressed plan can greatly meet the requirements. After the calculation results are obtained, the comparison of them are made. Besides, in the finite analysis, The Model 1 which contains two single walls and another Model 2 which concludes two walls intersected to be L are taken into consideration respectively. Finally, the deflection and internal force distribution are get, the study upon the distribution of them is also began. The effective flange width of the wall is explored as well as its positive effect, simply increasing the flange of it can’t control structural defection effectively, and the setting of the wing walls can.After the calculation results was compared, the rationality of the model is qualified, on this basis, relative structural design method and structure requirements can be proposed.
