Based On The Core Ideas Of ’Two Orient Society’ Zhaoshan Zhaohua Road Afforest Landscape Design

Mass population, relative lack of resources, heavy pollution and weak bearing capacity are the basic national conditions. In the year 2007, the State Council ratified the city agglomeration of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan as a pilot zone of’Two Orient society’,namely environmentally friendly and resource saving society. And the pilot zone in Zhaohua avenue of Zhaoshan city is one of the zones under construction. City road is to link the inner city and areas between city groups, for the transportation of the city area and for pedestrians, for the convenience of citizens’ living, work and cultural and recreational activities, and plays an role in the communication s between neighbor cities. There is great significance both theoretically and practically in the solution to the problem:how to forge highly ecological and environmentally friendly road landscape in the pilot zone by combining the idea of "Two Orient society" and road landscape design.This paper sets the study of urban road landscape as the entry point, integrating many documents and development of domestic and foreign urban road landscape, has an in-depth study of related concepts of urban road landscape and theory of urban road landscape design, and indicates the existing problems of social urban road landscape design. Based on the core ideas of’Two Orient society’and related theories of urban road landscape design, it puts forward the design principles of’sustainability’, ’environmental aesthetics’and’humanization’, and combining the real design case of Zhaohua Avenue in Zhaoshan, the paper discusses with practice the feasibility of the ideas of’Two Orient society’in the design of urban road landscape.The main content and outcomes of the paper are as follows:1) This paper studies the basic theories of urban road, road landscape and Two Orient society, and combining related theory studies from home and abroad, concludes the basic components and control elements of urban road landscape;2) Analyzes the changes, development and promote reason of urban road landscape based on field research and profile analysis, puts forward the problems of lacking integrity, humanistic concern, special features and simplex of form in the present road landscape, and reflected that urban road landscape should attach importance to history and culture, be ecologically and environmental friendly and keep harmony between man and nature.3) Based on the core ideas, the paper concludes four design principles:sustainability, environmental aesthetics, humanistic road and inheritance of history and culture;4) Selecting the landscape design of Zhaohua Avenue, Zhaoshan as a practical case, and based on the analysis on the project background and present conditions of resource and state of the field, the paper draws the design principle and strategy of Zhaohua Avenue, Zhaoshan, and discusses and practically designs the design case and detail design.The above studies show that the idea of Two Orient society is instructive both theoretically and practically to our design study of urban road landscape. As long as we take the idea of Two Orient society as our overall design idea in our road landscape design, and implement the principles of human centeredness and respect of historical and cultural characteristics, we can create road that is in harmony with nature. There is still a long way to go for road landscape design to implement the idea of Two Orient society. We should continuously refine and extend the content and implication of the idea of Two Orient society to meet the ever changing social demand.
