Stainless steel material has good corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, lightweight and high strength advantages, it has been widely used in the railway industry at home and abroad, so the study of spot welding of stainless steel train body strength and fatigue life is very important.This paper bases on the spot welding of stainless steel train body as the research object, with the perspective of the strength of the spot welding and spot weld fatigue life evaluation of stainless steel train body, basing on the analysis and research of fatigue theory and the evaluation method of fatigue life of spot welding, using the method of HyperMesh finite element modeling, ANSYS and FE-WELD software simulation for a stainless steel body, in order to provide an analysis method for the strength and fatigue life of spot welding for stainless steel train body of railway vehicle.This paper argues that: for the structure of the extensive use of spot welding as spot welding of stainless steel train body, using beam element finite element simulation of spot welding is more reasonable and simple, we used BS-EN12663 "structure of the railway vehicle body requirements" standard, which specified allowable safety coefficient of stress is 1.15, to analysis the static strength of spot welding of train body, application in the biggest under the action of vertical load, train body static deflection is less than 1 ‰ of the distance between the two bogie bearing point bending rigidity analysis, application based on the master S-N curve of equivalent structural stress fatigue evaluation method to evaluate fatigue life of spot welding of stainless steel train body, this method not only considers the effect of solder joint position of stress, but also considers the solder joint position two panel thickness influence on fatigue life, it implements in a master S-N curve method for fatigue life evaluation.Using the above methods and based on the optimization of one factory train body welding, the Von.Mises of body position under all conditions of stress are less than the allowable stress and safety coefficient is greater than 1.15; in the most serious cases body edge beam center position of vertical displacement is 13.618 mm, less than the specified 19 mm. The fatigue life assessment of 10 parts of the definition of a total of 181 welds, The evaluation results show the minimum fatigue life is71.47 ?10, meeting the requirements of life.
