In recent years, with the raipid development of China’s economy and technology, people pay more and more attention to the running speed and transport capacity of the high-speed train. The network control system of high speed EMU is developing to networking, informatization, security and intelligent. So, research on the technology of train network control system and traction converter system are the key to the future development. The paper is based on the relationship between network control system and traction converter system, study the communication interface of central control unit and traction control unit, research the motor control algorithm of the inverter part of traction converter. Provide advantageous support to the central control unit CCU, traction control unit TCU and PC machine.In order to understand the development situation of traction converter system and network control system, firstly, the paper begin with the network control system and traction converter system’s current situation development, analyzes their development trend; research the structure and control algorithm of the traction converter of EMU, introduce the rectifier part and inverter part control algorithm. It is important for traction inverter part to analysis the constant voltage and frequency ratio control algorithm, vector control and direct torque control algorithm. In order to verify direct torque control algorithm, so design and implement the traction converter simulation system in Matlab/Simulink environment. Secondly, brief description the hardware structure and PC software UniCap environment in network communication system hardware-in-loop experiment platform. Use this platform to research the communication interface between traction control unit and central control unit, realize the transmission of control command and information, and implement logical operation and traction instruction pretreatment in TCU. At the same time, study Ethernet communication between TCU and PC. Finally, through research the structure of network communication semi-physical simulation platform and direct torque control system simulation model, constructed from the communication to traction motor control simulation system, realize the control function to motor torque and motor speed. The simulation results show that motor speed can be well controlled, and has better dynamic characteristics.Through in-depth study on the traction converter system and network control system, using semi-physical simulation platform and simulation method, verified the rationality of EMU traction motor control strategy, so as to combine with network control system and traction converter system technology research of EMU will have a good foundation in future.
