Longitudinal Reinforcing Rib Composite Wall is a new building structure based on traditional masonry structures. It consists of multichannel longitudinal reinforcing rib, columns, beams, and block. In this paper, longitudinal reinforcing rib composite wall had been researched and by theoretical analysis, experiment, nonlinear FEM calculation and vertical ultimate bearing capacity of the wall. The main research contents are summarized as follows:(1) By the static test of the Longitudinal Reinforcing Rib Composite Wall; the failure process and failure mode, ultimate bearing capacity, the cross-section of the wall is analyzed. The results showed that: cracks are appeared in the load initial of the block, then the crack extends to reinforcing rib and frame column. The wall is through three periods of elastic stage, elastic-plastic stage, destruction phase. Vertical loads are borne by the frame column, the upper and middle ribbed are under tension state while the bottom ribbed is under the compression state.(2) ABAQUS finite element software is used to establish the model of longitudinal reinforcing rib composite wall. The frame column concrete strength, reinforcement ratio, block strength has been analyzed. The results showed that: the model established by ABAQUS is correct. Concrete strength is the most significant factor followed by reinforcement ratio. Two rib beams have the greatest impact of the vertical bearing capacity Walls have a higher bearing capacity of high-strength blocks.(3) The capacity formula of longitudinal reinforcing rib composite wall is established by the analysis of experiment and FEM models. Under the influence of multiple factors, the coupling of the frame column concrete strength and block strength still have a dominant position of the vertical bearing capacity; followed by the columns of concrete strength and reinforcement ratio; the coupling effect of block’s strength and frame column reinforcement ratio is very limited The calculations of the axial load bearing force of Longitudinal Reinforcing Rib Composite Wall established by this paper is reasonable and reliable.
