| In recent years, the viscous damper is widely used in structure, one aspect, the damper miss oil which have occurred from time to time, on the other hand, the long-term used durability of the damper is also failed to completely be solved, which leads to the failure of the damper. So it requires to research the local failure of damper on seismic performance, and set up dampers well to reduce the seismic response of the structure, which is not only to improve the reliability of seismic structures but also provide some reference for protecting the structure under failure conditions.The first two chapters of this paper mainly introduce the development of the damping controlling technology and the relevant theoretical knowledge of the viscous damper,which related to the elaboration of the basic model and theory. This is the summary of the previous results.Secondly, the third chapter mainly introduces the theoretical analysis method and process design,based on the finite element software ETABS.Then,it’s a full explanation for the establishment and analyses of the structural model.Two kinds of calculation method for additional damping ratio are described, which provides a reference for the calculation of the additional damping ratio in engineering design.The forth chapter,which is the core part of structure, introduces the local failure problem of viscous damper under two conditions, one is the failure problems caused by the damper missing oil, the other is the stuck damper as a bar leading to failure. Then,using Fast Nonlinear Analysis Method analyze the elastic time history analysis of the frame structure, based on two practical project.And compared the seismic performance of the viscous damper,it impacts on the structure under the condition of the two kinds of local failure.Finally, this paper draws a conclusion of guiding significance to the actual engineering, and expounds the shortcomings, the supplement and prospect in the article. |
