As a brand-new concept and product, Intelligent vehicle involves the use of environmental perception, artificial intelligence, automatic control, vehicle engineering and other disciplines. Intelligent vehicle’s key technology is driverless research which has attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign departments, enterprises and schools. Because of the development prospects and the complex road environment, urban environment has become the key point and difficult point in driverless research.This research focuses on low-speed environment, especially semi-structured urban vehicle environment, and the goal is to implement driverless key technologies. The major work of this research can be summarized as follows:(1) Investigate the Intelligent vehicle and driverless technology in-depth, detailed design and analyze the platform framework and driverless solutions.(2) Design and implement a method to detect road edges with camera and laser, including image processing, laser data analysis and data fusion.(3) Design and implement a method to detect obstacles and avoid collision with laser, including fuzzy obstacle detection and driving route selection.(4) Design and implement a method to autonomous navigation with multi-sensor, including road information correction, GPS/DR integrated location and multi-sensor fusion.(5) Verify the validity and reliability of this research with experiment in virtual simulation environment and real physical environment. Then, summarize the existence of deficiencies and improvements direction.
