As our country and regions continue to accelerate the process of urbanization and increasing people’s living standards, China’s public buildings entered a rapid development stage.But at this stage, Public buildings of our country still face low level of energy efficiency, architectural design itself is not reasonable, more problems of extensive energy management and other issues, how to enhance public building energy-saving technology and management level is becoming a major issue of achieving sustainable economic and social development.Qujing Huize regional geographic and climatic conditions are exceptional, the economy is weak, coupled with the construction of the relevant specifications may not be implemented, energy efficiency in public buildings is quite weak, with typical and representative. This is also the choice of Huize region as an important reason for saving research. This paper focuses on the analysis of the status quo in Qujing, Yunnan Huize local public building energy consumption, combined with the local climate and the thermal conditions and the author’s actual work experience in architectural design, design optimization Yunnan Huize public buildings energy efficient and can be continued development of a more in-depth research, making Huize region has a reference to the case of a public building energy efficiency design, facilitate remote areas can promote the use of energy-efficient buildings.Articles from the four major energy-saving design of the main part of the architectural design:wall materials, insulation design of the external structure, roof insulation energy-saving design, energy-efficient doors and windows design. Secondly, from the four main components of public building energy consumption, namely:air conditioning systems, heating systems, lighting systems, water supply and drainage system to conduct a quantitative analysis of energy efficiency, and accordingly how to optimize the energy efficiency of the design work for a more in-depth research.Conclusions:Energy research is very meaningful public buildings, especially in the study of weak outlying areas. Through research, surveys, with an actual project as a case study (focus on the architectural design of the technical part), explain how the conduct of public building energy efficiency design, especially suitable for public buildings would Chak district exterior materials selection, doors and windows selection, selection of roof insulation and wall insulation selection respect to the relevant departments to provide a reference, to raise awareness of the concept of energy saving and environmental protection awareness, especially to the relevant departments to develop relevant norms provide ideas, making public buildings to become a low-carbon, can building a model of sustainable development.
