This topic is applied research aimed at improving and enhancing the icingdetection system of transmission line,which is founded the Scientific andTechnological Key Project in Shanxi Province "Capacitance inductedtransmission lines ice thickness sensor and its system"(NO:20110321026-02)andthe National Natural Science Fund "Research of sea ice thickness monitoringmethod based on capacitive sensing technology"(ID:41176080).Transmission Line Icing is a widespread natural phenomenon, which willlead to the flashover of insulator string, line dancing,grounding wire,powertower tilted and other accidents.Therefore,real-time monitoring of transmissionline icing conditions,will increase the significance in the reliable operation of theline and icing fault early warning.Past three decades,which have suffered as a result of uninterruptedtransmission line icing serious accident,resulting in the majority of the power ofworkers,university and related researchers have taken more attention on theresearch of the power grid icing.This topic is more perfect which is on the basisof the cover icing for transmission online monitoring technology,and on thebasis of preliminary findings of the project team,which proposed thecombination of capacitive sensing technology,multi-meteorological factors,thePC monitor interface and analog wire method and gray correlation analysis willmade the capacitive transmission line icing on-line monitoring system to furtherenhance and improve.This paper first introduces the research background and development and present status of transmission lines ice monitoring technology;In the study oftransmission lines ice formation mechanism and influencing factors,on the basisof combining with the results of the early stage of the project,proposed for theimprovements of the capacitance sensor structure and the use of Maxwellsoftware simulation;Considering the key role of meteorological factors in theformation of ice which improve the design in the hardware system,addingcollect wind speed,wind direction,temperature and humidity measurements,useGPRS for wireless transmission of data,and each module improved detailintroduction;measurement for system stability and robustness,under theguidance of the relevant researchers were measured using an analog line icingwire method,and the feasibility of the method described in the localarea;Improving in the hardware system on the basis of the relevant softwareprogram writing and running;due to the impact of the acquisition to clear icecover factor of five,where the choice of gray correlation analysis method todetermine the relationship of each factor,draw influence the most critical factorice thickness;the use of industrial software configuration king juniordevelopment,a on-line icing line monitoring interface so that all data can beanimated to show the historical trend curve can query data and alarmreporting,etc;The entire system will be developed,the first laboratory tests in thelaboratory,and to analyze the data results,and in order to verify the feasibility oftheir field work,carried out in Shouyang outdoor experiments,and on theinstallation,use encountered in the process questions and data analysis results aresummarized;finally, improve research,development practices combined with thesystem for the future operation of the system were discussed.
