Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak(EAST) device is a kind of nuclear fusion experimental device, which solves the problem of advanced operation mode of the near core plasma steady state and the tremendous energy nuclear fusion released. This device will transform nuclear fusion to a human controlled energy. As a part of EAST device, fast control power supply system includes exciting coil which provides several thousands of amperes current and the current generates a magnetic field to constraint the vertical direction of the plasma device to avoid plasma hitting the wall of vacuum chamber and results in fusion failure.New fast control power supply system adopts multi full bridge series-parallel connection and the total output power can get 15MW. Series connection can output higher voltage and parallel connection can output larger current.The application of carrier phase shift and PWM phase shift of multiple overlay technology, can solve the problem of harmonic current. In order to achieve the quickly tracking of the set-current signal and improve the speed of system response, the current negative feedback PI control strategy was used, which results in remarkable effect.EAST device requires the new fast control power supply system to have high security, high stability and good maintainability. So we have to do reliability analysis of power system, and make correct judgment and treatment on the potential safety hazard, but also try to shorten the system maintenance time and max reduce the safety trouble when the system is running.In this paper, new fast-controlled power system detailed theoretical analysis and a complete software simulation and experimental analysis.The new fast control system upgrade control circuit was analyzed in this paper, including the system’s software and hardware. New fast-controlled power system experimental results show there has high efficiency synchronous between each unit, fast response total current with more output capacity and dynamic response speed.
