With the development of economy and society, the nonlinear single-phase equipment accounted for 70% of the total electrical capacity of civil construction, which has far exceeded the three-phase equipment. Also in industrial, the single-phase power electronic devices become more and more. Thus, the single-phase equipment makes more and more pollution.As the most extensive power quality management equipment, Shunt active power filter (PAPF) can effectively inhibit the harmonic pollution produced by various nonlinear devices. However, the domestic and foreign researches on PAPF are concentrated in the three-phase system, and have less attention to the single-phase PAPF. Several key technologies of single phase PAPF is study and analyzed in this paper. A 11kW experimental prototype was built, which has obtained a good filtering effect.First, the mathematical model of single phase PAPF is set up, then the selection of LCL filter, DC side voltage,and DC side capacitor selection is discussed. A complete set of design method is presented, and the simulation results verify the feasibility.Harmonic detection is an important link of single-phase PAPF system, This paper mainly introduces three harmonic detection methods based on the instantaneous reactive power theory, and a high detection accuracy, good real-time harmonic detection method is selected after comparative analysis. At last, the digital low pass filter is introduced,In the control system, this paper mainly studies the Pl+repetitive control based on grid side current feedback, gives the design method of each transfer function in the control system, and proposes a new active damping strategy. Simulation under Matlab/Simulink environment verified the control system has a good dynamic and stable performance.Finally, according to the above design, a 11kW experimental prototype is built. The design of electrical, hardware, software is introduced in this paper. The experiment results show that the prototype achieves a good compensation effect.
