High voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker is an important part of power system, it’s destruction will have a great effect to the normal operation of the whole power system, and the power system as a branch of the lifeline engineering, directly affect our normal life.The earthquake is mainly cause of the high voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker failure of the power system. Our country is one of the earthquake disaster seriously, with the rapid development of our country’s economy, the requirements of the national stability and security of power system is more and more high. Therefore, this has the important theory significance and the practical application value for the study on the seismic performance of the circuit breaker in power system. In this paper, the high voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker as the object of study, conducts the analysis research to the seismic performance, and the isolation bearing is applied to the bottom bracket of circuit breaker, research the isolating effect on the seismic performance of circuit breaker.This paper will study the following contents:(1) Describe the synthesis process of artificial ground motion and the spectrum of the conversion process, which lays the theoretical foundation for high voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker in the shaking table test and theoretical analysis research.(2) The calculation model established by finite element software of high voltage porcelain circuit breaker, and the modal analysis is carried out by using the finite element model has been established, get the natural frequency and vibration mode of high voltage circuit breaker.(3) According to the theory of elastic time history analysis, using the time history analysis to the finite element model of the circuit breaker, found the vulnerable point of the high voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker and the location of the maximum displacement. Finally, the analysis results are compared with the experimental results, verify the rationality and accuracy of the model.(4)The isolation device is applied to support high-voltage porcelain column type circuit breaker, through the finite element simulation verify its damping effect.
