The Study On The Museum Building Assessment

Museum building is not only a building type with strong particularity and high degree of specialization, but also carries important social and cultural features, which is getting more and more attentions.Under the new situation of museum blossom, it is urgent to explore --- how to get better for the realization of the museum building museum functions and services, what kind of the museum building is good.In this paper, we use the evaluation mechanism in the process of building the museum. So that, on the one hand we could provide the necessary guidance for the preparation of the museum, on the other hand we could get some useful lessons and experiences through the evaluation and provide references for future museum building.This paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter Ⅰ is to clarify the purpose and significance of the research, current research situation, research content and methods.Combined with the expansion evolution of the museum functions, Chapter Ⅱ is to discuss the development of the museum building. With the constant improvement of museum functions, the museum building has undergone from blocking to open, from classical paradigm to creative freedom, from single function building to multifunction unit combinations. The demand of museum building is increasing day and night.Chapter Ⅲ is to analyze the principles of museum architecture assessment, content and evaluation stage. The museum building needs to apply the actual situation and meet the museum’s unique function demand. According to this principle, we could evaluate the museum building through four aspects which are safety, applicability, art and economy. We also believe that the museum building can be evaluated from the beginning of construction project to the end.Chapter IV is to discuss the evaluation method of the museum building. In this paper, we select the fuzzy synthesis evaluation method due to 2 reasons:the museum is a complex synthesis; the evaluation contents are interaction and difficult to quantify. And this method is described in detail and applied to examples.
