In recent years, the world’s high-speed railways develop rapidly and our high-speed railways technology is gradually joining in the forefront of the world. The manufacturing standard of EMU is always strictly. CRH380 B EMU is the new generation of High-speed EMU which is through the introduction, digestion, absorption, innovation and production. Compared with the previous EMU, its performance improves overall.CRH380B EMU auxiliary power supply system is still using the CRH3’s, but there is no technical study of its auxiliary converter. Based on the CRH380 B EMU passing the neutral section, the regulator control of auxiliary converte is researched in this paper. For AC-DC-AC Drives EMU, to make the train auxiliary equipment continue to work in the absence of electrical power phase area, auxiliary converters take power from the DC link of the traction system.Traction motor regenerative braking provide energy to auxiliary power supply system when the neutral section.It will lead to the auxiliary converter output voltage instability. Worse, the auxiliary electrical equipment is damaged. Therefore, aiming at this situation, design auxiliary converter structure, and take control of the regulator, ensures that the train auxiliary converter output voltage can be quickly adjusted and regulated output while passing the neutral section. Make auxiliary equipment operating normally.This article analyse the principle on input section and output section of the CRH380 B EMU auxiliary converte, and calculate the capacity of auxiliary converter.Secondly analyze the process of CRH380 B EMU passing the neutral section in detail, and make theoretical analysis of the tractor unit. Calculate the energy transfer of intermediate DC link Obtain the result of auxiliary power supply system’s working conditions. Then according to the actual needs to design the auxiliary converter main circuit, regulator control system and voltage control strategies. Finally, depending on the theoretical analysis of this paper to build simulation models, Simulate the situation of CRH380 B EMU passing the neutral section process, Simulation results show that single auxiliary converter main circuit design is reasonable, its control system can guarantee it reliably operate when normal running and passing the neutral section, and the control strategies can quickly adjust the output waveform.All of this prove the research on CRH380 B EMU auxiliary converter is feasible. It provides a theoretical basis for designing a new generation of dynamic localization of high-speed EMU auxiliary converter.
