Sluice automatic monitoring and control system are increasingly attracted attention, along with the development control technology and promotion use of information technology in water resource industry. The traditional operation way has been unable to meet the demands of modern society in the aspects of flexibility, reliability and intelligence. So the accurate and effective remote monitoring and controlling system for the sluice gate operation has become one of the important topics of current water management.The thesis took Beijie Sluice in Jiangmen as the research object, and the arc gate control system of flood diversion sluice based on PLC was further discussed. In the retention of the manual control, sensor technology, communication network, automatic controlling technology and configuration monitoring technology, were integrated to build up the automatic monitoring and controlling system for sluice gate.The whole structure and function of the sluice gate control system were studied in this thesis. Hardware and software were designed for the field controlling and remote monitoring layer. The local controlling layer was mainly composed of PLC logic unit and hydraulic hoist electrical controlling unit. PLC was responsible for collecting the local information, such as gate position, water level data and so on. And then these information signals were transmitted to the upper computer through the industrial Ethernet, at the same time, the entire hydraulic system state was monitored. This paper realized the design of the hard- ware configuration of the PLC controlling unit and the electric control schematic diagrams. Besides, the ladder diagrams of opening and closing operation for sluice gate were worked out in the use of the Versapro programming software. The host computer in remote controlling layer displayed the running status of the gate in the form of vivid graph, text, and table using Intouch configuration software. And it could achieve remote control through setting parameters, also it owned water level, gate level, fault alarm, information querying, generation report and printing functions. The practice operation putting into Beijie Sluice showed that this controlling method was flexible and reliable, stable and secure, and the effect was ideal.At the end of the paper, the application of fuzzy control in the control of water level of sluice was discussed. The simulation results showed that the control performances of fuzzy controller was better than the traditional PID controller, which has important practical significance to the practical application of the algorithm in the sluice controlling system, also has guiding sense to the practice of automation and intelligent for control system.
