City syndrome is increasing with the rapid development of society. Therefore, it’s quite vital and necessary to exploit and make full use of underground space. Shield method has become an important way of exploiting space underground because of its so many advantages. However, shield method certainly has influence on the surroundings, such as breaking the balance of the land as a result of geological environment and limited construction skills. As a result, the land will move away from its original place. If the land moves far too much, the safety of the subway and buildings around will be threatened. What worse, buildings around possibly incline and distort. Pipelines will be damaged as well. The key point to avoid damages is to predict the influence precisely in advance, which is instructive to the construction.On the basis of a section from the first ring in the south of Hefei to Taihu station, subwaylinel, the paper discusses the effects of shield method on soil. The main methods of study are data synthesizing and long-term data supervising. With the comparison of the data, subjects below are studied.1. This paper states the principle of shield tunnel method’s effects on buildings around. It deals with the regulations of shield method’s influence on the soil.2. Through a long time supervising, a great deal of data has been carefully analyzed. Finally, a conclusion on regulations of influence comes out:1) The analysis of settlement of the ground surfaceIn the whole region, the biggest settlement is 20.5mm. All monitoring data are less than the controlling value offered in the designing paper, which is 30mm. It meant the construction is safe.2) The analysis of settlement of the buildingsBuildings monitored locate between DB-05 and DB-16, DB-43to DB-52. NO.1 building is the closest to the shield region. JCJ-01-05 has the biggest settlement which is 6.7mm. Controlling value of settlement of the buildings is 10mm, which is listed in the designing paper. All data received are within the safe range.3) The analysis of monitoring data from inner structure of the tunnelMonitoring items include:convergence, vault settlement, and upheaval of tunnel floor. Both convergence and vault settlement change within 4mm and upheaval of tunnel floor within 5mm. Controlling values of convergence, vault settlement, and upheaval of tunnel floor are written in the designing paper, which are 12mm,-20mm to +1 Omm, and 10mm. As is seen, the inner structure of the tunnel is safe.3. The influential regulations are analyzed with Method of ternary co, LTD, the regulations of each monitoring items are concluded. Combined with the controlling value offered in the designing paper, conclusions have been drawn4. Supervising data are similar to the simulated data. A few differences exist because there are too many tiny factors that can affect the construction.
