That our world is faced with energy shortage is a common problem now. With a character of high energy efficiency and being environmentally friendly, distributed energy system has been applied widely in recent years. The distributed energy systems using Natural gas or other clean energy as fuel are discussed in this paper. And the step utilization aim of energy efficiency can be achieved with more than 70%, through the way Combined Cooling Heating and Power, and energy can be supplied in the load center by the nearest way.It is an important way of making efficient use of natural gas.The application and research of distributed energy system has entered a stage of rapid development in China, and a lot of research and progress on the optimization of distributed energy systems and the performances of various equipment has been made. But studies on the various factors affecting the efficiency of jointly run of power systems and waste heat utilization system were seldom made. Different forms of distributed energy systems and its respective character were described in this paper. The mathematical model was built with the combination of realism and theory. Based on a distributed energy station project in Hefei, the software calculation interface was established with using EES, and the impact of various factors on the efficiency of distributed energy systems was simulated from the perspective of a joint operation.Studies have shown that the comprehensive utility efficiency of distributed energy system is much higher than traditional division of production. To maintain efficient utilization of primary energy and power generation efficiency, room ambient temperature when the system is running should be maintained in a appropriate range(no more than 30℃).When the temperature beyond 30 ℃, power generation efficiency and the efficiency of the utilization of primary energy will fall. The efficiency of the system is highest when the fuel is completely combusted. The low air-fuel ratio value will lead to incomplete combustion of the fuel, and the high air-fuel ratio value will change the composition of the exhaust gas. The efficiency of power generation and primary energy utilization efficiency will decrease with the increase of air-fuel ratio value, which is not conducive to make efficient use of energy. For the same capacity of the unit, the higher compression ratio internal combustion engine should be selected, the efficiency is higher.
