As the energy issue has became a common problem faced by all around the world, wind resources as a renewable clean energy is highly valued. Energy issues promote the development of distributed generation. Wind power as an important part of distributed generation is playing an irreplaceable role. Wind energy is one of the most common renewable energy. It is well known that wind power industry has the advantages clean,reliable, easy to install and its material does not rely on imports. Farther more it has rapided developmented of wind power technology for nearly two decades in the global scale.With the continuous development of wind power technology,permanent magnet synchronous generator received more and more people’s ages,for its highly efficiency, lower inertia,highly reliability. Then it become more important to improve system’s stability and power quality of wind power systems on the research of permanent magnet direct-drive wind turbine control strategies.For the purpose of improving the permanent magnet direct-drive generator system’s control problem,this article using an improved direct current control strategy is reasearched in this article a simulation model of the entire system is built on the MATLAB/SIMULINK platform. As analysised the simulation result, it proved out that this strategy can effectively reduce the stator current harmonics and unbalance issues, and improve system stability. In addition, the proposed strategy based on a highly efficient wind power converters to appllied to 5kW direct-drive wind power generation system. The experimental results verify the correctness of the control strategy and efficiency, and improvement of the grid power quality.The permanent magnet direct drive control system is changeable for its multivariable and nonlinear characteristics. The design of the power sliding mode controller used a hysteresis function in this paper to complete system control target. To a certain extent,it has solved the practical problems in high frequency switching system, and has made the buffeting to be controlled effectively.
