With increasing penetration of electric power stroke, the adverse effects of wind farms on the grid failure will be greater. Wind farm in the 35kV system contains a lot of collector cable, so that the system becomes large capacitive current, a large capacitive current in ungrounded systems will form a high overvoltage intermittent arcing ground, but also reduce the low-grid wind turbine voltage ride-through capability, which easily lead to a wind farm failures. Thus, this paper by means of Matlab/Simulink software, set up a typical wind farm 35kV system model, comparative analysis of the power frequency overvoltage and intermittent arc voltage when operating characteristics over 35kV system neutral grounding occurred in different ways, and Health insurance for a period of Hebei actual operating parameters of wind farms, made a specific grounding sizing. Through the simulation analysis, found that the wind farm 35 kV system neutral through petersen coil or the grounding resistance, the more conducive to the economic and reliable operation of wind power system, and specific grounding method choice to combine actual operation parameters are calculated.
