With the rapid development of UHV transmission line project, its influence on environment have become increasingly prominent, the surrounding electromagnetic environment of transmission lines,especially the transmission line audible noise has become the main content of transmission project environmental assessment. Although,the transmission line project has been built meet the relevant standard,but the development of the social economy and the progress of technology, makes the people environmental protection consciousness strengthens gradually and the transmission line audible noise of the increasingly high demand. At the same time, the State Grid Corp to promote green development strategy, promote the project and the surrounding ecological environment harmonious and healthy development of power transmission lines, to further improve the limit requirements of audible noise of transmission line construction and operation,establishing a higher standard for the transmission line project in the future.At present, the scope of application of the calculation method of AC transmission line audible noise to phase conductor infinite horizontal arrangement of straight wire, However,in the actual wires in the transition to the tower, under the influence of gravity,will show a catenary shape in the three-dimensional space. In view of this kind of catenary shape line, the conventional calculation method of audible noise may have large error and the results may be conservative, which will cause unnecessary investment when it is applied to the design and construction of tower. How to improve the calculation precision of the AC transmission line audible noise, is the important research on UHV transmission line engineering design problems.Therefore, the main content of this thesis is to research the calculation method of the conductor surface field strength. finite length transmission lines will be divided into small units based on BPA empirical formula, to get the values of the sound power of each section of wire. The anlysis of the AC line audible noise’s propagation and the synthetic principle is used to study calculation method of audible noise under condition of sag in the 3D space. At the same time, Audible noise calculation of AC transmission line using the charge simulation method provides the reference for the design and optimization of project.
