Nuclear power as a clean energy, technology gradually improved, has become an important part of the energy and power strategy. However, the safety of nuclear power, especially the seismic safety of nuclear power engineering structures are still a number of key issues need to be resolved. Structural isolation technology is widely recognized as an effective control technology in the world. But so far, in all the world’s nuclear power plants already in commercial operation, only France’s Cruas nuclear power plant in South Africa’s Koeberg nuclear power plant and the application of seismic isolation technology. Isolation is one of the applications of nuclear structure research focus isolation technology. In this paper, the introduction of the third generation AP1000 nuclear power plant for the study, analysis and experimental study of its application performance isolation techniques. Westinghouse AP1000 is the design and development of a dual-loop 1000 Mwe level of passive type pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant, application isolation technology can effectively improve the earthquake resistance of nuclear structure.This article briefly describes the history of the status quo of China’s nuclear power development and nuclear power plant construction development, the role of the nuclear accident caused by the earthquake were analyzed, pointing out that the application of isolated structures in nuclear power has broad prospects; for AP1000 nuclear power plant construction plant mainly classified; discussed the AP1000 nuclear power plant seismic design response spectrum options for modifying spectrum of nuclear power plants RG1.6 specification spectrum comparative analysis on the basis of the establishment of the AP1000 nuclear power plant is not isolated and isolated structures finite element analysis model, and were modal analysis and time history analysis; conducted seismic performance AP1000 nuclear station equipment inside the steam generator analysis; the characteristics simulation shaking table test, the test model containment subsidiary factories and nuclear island were introduced and produce test model; Finally, the test program and exciting isolated structure is not isolated structures with their different test conditions and the test results were analyzed.
