The thermal component of spacecraft is vital for spacecraft’s security. With the increasing demands on the spacecraft speed, the structure is becoming more and more complex, which has developed from traditional regular shape to complex and special shape, result in more and more complex and difficult assembly for the thermal components. Therefore, according to the requirement of special-shaped spacecraft assembly, in this paper automatic assembly system for dedicated spacecraft thermal components is designed, focusing on the structure design of pose adjustment device and mobile assembly device, to provide technical support for the actual manufacture. The research has important theoretical significance and practical application value.The main contents of this paper are summarized as follows:(1) According to the assembly requirement of the automatic assembly and pressurize system, the overall design scheme of the system is proposed. The assembly and pressurize process and system function requirements are analyzed, the pose adjustment principle and assembly method are drafted. The overall design scheme of the automatic assembly and pressurize system for special-shaped thermal component is proposed, the system includes pose adjustment device, mobile assembly and pressurize device, detection and control device, so as to lay a foundation for the subsequent structure design.(2) In the light of the requirement of position and orientation adjustment for thermal component and metal matrix before assembly, the structure of pose adjustment device is designed in detail. Combined with specific shape and size of thermal component and metal matrix, the structural configuration and dimension synthesis are completed. The technical parameters and transmission schemes of the two position adjusting axes in the horizontal plane is designed, two moving axes’ structure is designed and calculated. The transmission device of rotating platform which realize the rotation is designed, calculated and selected. The three-dimensional model of the pose adjustment device is established, to provide technical support for the actual production.(3) In order to realize the function of pressurize, the structure of the assembly and pressurize device is designed in detail. The transmission scheme of assembly and pressurize device is confirmed by comparative analysis. According to the requirement of work space, structure configuration and dimension synthesis are completed, as well as technical parameters. The structure of transmission system which consists of synchronous belt, reducer and motor is designed and calculated in detail, so is ball screw as an actuating mechanism. Then a three-dimensional simulation model is established, providing technical support for actual production.(4) According to the load demand of the assembly, the finite element analysis of the key parts is carried out. The structure of the key components within assembly and pressurize device, which withstand most loads, are designed. On the basis for the establishment of three-dimensional simulation model, the finite element analysis of key parts is completed by ANSYS Workbench, to ensure that the structure design of key components can meet the requirements of strength and stiffness of assembly.
