Belt conveyor is a kind of transporting materials machinery withcontinuous friction driving way, mainly coMPaosed of frame, roller, conveyorbelt, roller, driving device and tension device, etc. Due to these advantages of itsunique large capacity,strong adaptability,continuous transportation,high degreeof automation,and easy to realize centralized control, belt conveyor has becomethe most wide bulk materials on transportation machinery in these fields such ascoal, mining, coal, port. The conveying belt,as the main body of conveyor,is akind of viscous-elastic material, which can store huge amounts of energy in theprocess of running,however, broken belt accident is happened and not to stop intime which will cause irreparable damage.Considering all kinds of broken belt reason and the conveyor belt in trendof the movement after that, this paper has targeted to develop a new integralbroken belt conveyor with belt capture device. For system of broken beltconveyor analyzed in systematic has requirements in capture deviceperformance, and the key technology of core capability of broken belt capturedevice,analysis research is made,which is proposed encoder signal detection system as the core of four-repeated signal detection system that is mainly usedthe velocity difference method to comprehensively judge the trend of theoperation of the conveyor belt, improving the accuracy of judgment of the faultbelt running state,and which is proposed to the new type of differential capturesystem based on catch cylinder differential connection of capture with powerof accumulator, greatly improving the capture speed of broken belt. And makingspecific theoretical research and experimental research, providing theoreticalbasis and experimental support for accurate judgment and reliable brake of faultbelt conveyor.On this basis, the paper made theoretical research and simulation researchfor impacting capture performance of broken belt with protection devices on theparameters of hydraulic system actuator to connect line and the inflationpressure and configuration scheme of accumulator. Comparing to the analysis ofthe measured curve in various experiments, this paper proved the correctness oftheoretical analysis and simulation analysis,providing the basis of theperformance optimization of the hydraulic system components. This paper alsouses Adams (dynamics analysis software)and AMESim(simulation software)to make a joint simulation on the actuator’capture device with captureprocess,analyzing the catch block in the process of capturing and conveying beltbetween the pressure change trend.Finally, according to the actual working condition and optimization resultsof simulation software,production of broken belt protection device in belt conveyor machine and building of experimental platform was coMPaleted, andsimulation experiment was carried out.By changing the parameters of differentsystem configurations in the experiment process,this paper verified thecorrectness of the design, calculation and the simulation results about the above,summarizing suitable scheme to adapt to similar structure and systemparameters setting to achieve rapid movement of the actuator, reducinghydraulic impact, vibration and the requirement of economy. So this articlechosen the theoretical analysis, compauter simulation and field test to analyzebroken belt protection device in system performance.
