With the development of the industry continue to heat up, the demand forelectricity is high in China.Such a huge electricity power demand make peoplepay more and more attention to the development of power industry andinnovation. Power plant is the core of electric power industry, and cooling towerdirectly determines the vitality of power plant, so the society for cooling towerbuildings has higher requirements.It’s very important for cooling tower to responsible for the normaloperation of the power plants.The main structure of the cooling tower at homeand abroad is reinforced concrete cooling tower. Due to more and more highindustrial requirements and structural cost constraints, the deficiency ofreinforced concrete material performance is increasingly obvious.Based on the existing large-span space structures and combined withspecial structure form of the cooling tower, come up with a novel structure of the cooling tower Large hyperbolic steel grid structure of the cooling tower.According to theexisting Code for design of steel structures, Technicalspecification for space frame structures, Code hydraulic design of fossil fuelpower plants, Code for design of industrial recirculating cooling watertreatment and other relevant specifications, design a planned large steel gridstructure of hyperbolic cooling tower on the outskirts of taiyuan city, and thefollowing several aspects.(1)Using the finite element analysis software Midas/Gen to design andchecking calculation of the structure (including under static load, earthquakeeffect, temperature effect of the intensity, stiffness calculation, earthquake underthe action of the modal analysis, etc.), select structure cross section. And theeconomic and technical indexes of the structureare are counted.(2)Using finite element software Midas/Gen buckling analysis module,analyze the stability of the gravity and wind load of large hyperbolic typecooling tower. In the process of analysis considering geometric nonlinearity ofstructure, using displacement control methodget the whole process loaddisplacement curve.(3) Introduced the construction method of existing commonly usedlarge-span space structures, based on this, advances the alternating step-by-stepjack-up method are used to realize the large space structure of the installation.On the basis of the construction scheme divides the structure installationconstruction period, and give a brief description of each installation steps involved in the construction process.(4)According to the classification installation phase, using finite elementanalysis software Midas/Gen, analyze the structure of the whole constructionprocess simulation. And assess the bearing capacity and deformation of thestructure whether meet the construction requirements.(5)Designthe jack-up scheme, introduces the principle of jack-up,according to the calculation results, extract the jack-up stage jack-up points ofreaction, and on the basis of design of jack-up bracket, the jack model isdetermined.(6)Considering the temperature effect of the construction process, beginsimulation analysis, to evaluate the effect of temperature on the influence ofstructure safety performance. Response to the temperature effect of constructionscheme is proposed.(7)According to the displacement of structure in the process of construction,use the suit iteration method. Structure in the process of construction of the keypoints of construction coordinate preset value was calculated. Control structureof the completion of the configuration and design configuration of the deviationin the range of accuracy.The analysis and calculation result of158meters,180meters high,diameter of150meters large steel grid structure of hyperbolic cooling tower. theload transfer path of the structure is clear, the stability meet the requirements,economic and technical indicators of the structure are in the reasonable range. Alternating jack-up method step by stepcompared to other construction methodhas its unique advantages and characteristics, has broad prospects for application.In the process of the jack-up mobile jack-up car design is important technologyof this method, only the design of lifting scheme and the lifting supportreasonable, can better will alternating jack-upmethod step by step applied toengineering practice. Temperature effect on internal forces of structure inconstruction process can not be ignored, at the same time in the constructionprocess of large span space structure, to fully consider the temperature effect, thepreset multiple sets of contingency plans, to ensure the normal operation of theconstruction. Construction deformation preset is important for structureconstruction, the construction of the preset value must be calculated whendesign, and develop a special scheme, to ensure the construction work smoothly.
