This paper analyzes the study on the system of separating trucks and passenger vehicleswhich is the most representative study at home; and concludes the core factors that limit thesystem of separating trucks and passenger vehicles in freeway roads of our country. on thebasis of the idea of separating trucks and passenger vehicles, this paper comes up with theidea of the standards to separate trucks and passenger vehicles; the index system andevaluation methods of solution selection of reformation (pre-evaluation) and effectevaluation (post-evaluation).This paper proposes the evaluation system of the system of separating trucks andpassenger vehicles, including nine indexes, such as “speed, delay, the number of changinglanes, and index of speed dispersion”, and the system of evaluation standards with eightindexes, including speed, delay and accident rate. this paper studies the selection and theeffects of reformation of separating trucks and passenger vehicles. What’s more, it also doesa degradation treatment on each index by PCA (principle component analysis) so that theweight function and the PCA score of evaluation index can be defined to make order aboutthe comprehensive scores of evaluating plans. After these steps, the paper proposes a suitablerenovation plan about separating trucks from passenger vehicles and a system of evaluationabout the renovation effects, which are suitable for the current situations of freeway in ourcountry.This paper studies the specific embodiments about the plan choices of renovation planon solution selection (pre-evaluation) and effective evaluation (post-evaluation) at theShanghai-Nanjing freeway (from Shanghai to Suzhou) and Shenyang-Dalian freeway (fromShenyang to Shenban line). It establishes the simulation model of practical roads throughusing VISSIM simulation software. It assesses the effect of revolution of simulation andconcludes the best and concrete way to separate trucks and passenger vehicles inShanghai-Nanjing freeway (from Shanghai to Suzhou) and verify the revolution plans onShenyang-Dalian freeway (from Shenyang to Shenban line). It makes contrastive analysis onthe evaluation methods about separating trucks from passenger vehicles by applying thetheory of serial number summation and verify the sense of effect of this method. Trough the analyses to the results of simulation, it assesses the effect of revolution to specific roads andconcludes the best and concrete way to separate trucks and passenger vehicles. The samemethod is used to evaluate the effects to the methods of separating trucks and passengervehicles have, which on the one hand provides an effective way to the choice and effectevaluation of separating trucks and passenger vehicles; and on the other hand, offers sometheoretical foundation to the study and application about the system of separation trucks andpassengers vehicles in our country.The study methods which the paper uses can also be applied into the evaluation studyon other the specific system of separating trucks and passenger vehicles. Connecting to thereal investigated data on specific roads, it can make an accurate stimulation to specific andreal roads, which can guide the transportation planning and management.
