The high-speed development of social economy, along with our country urbanization levelenhances unceasingly, the big increase in car ownership also appeared, at the same time becauseof related management and facilities are not perfect, so problems such as urban traffic congestion,frequent accidents, etc always happen. Due to poor traffic condition seriously affects people’sdaily life, it not only causes difficulties for travel, but also economic losses. Hence, one of thepurposes of the emergence of the vehicle navigation system and widely used is to give peoplereasonable guidance for driving by using advanced information technology in order to try toavoid unnecessary time and economic losses. In vehicle navigation system, vehicle autonomousnavigation system is the most widely used and mature system for now. This system can providenavigation path routing through the road network information stored in the local for a single car,which greatly improves the convenience of people’s travel. But because the city trafficcongestion is increasingly serious, navigation system cannot master the real-time traffic has beendifficult to adapt to the current user requirements. So the remote center navigation systememerges as the time required. Center navigation system can master the real-time traffic in the cityand traffic information inside the center and provide dynamic navigation services to vehicleusers outside according to this information combined with road network data.Traditional acquisition methods of real-time traffic and traffic information mainly rely oncapital equipments such as coil, infrared sensors and radar. But there are some problems likecovering a small area, installation, long cycle, high cost and difficult to maintain. The floatingcar data collection system can be a good complement for regular detection methods. Usingfloating car data collection system can complete the traffic information such as the average speedof roads, vehicle density of traffic. Using floating car as a means of perceiving the trafficcondition in the center navigation system is reasonable and efficient.This paper studies the techniques and methods of traffic information perception by usingfloating car data in the center navigation system, and it gives the corresponding model andsolution. It mainly accomplishes the average speed of road calculating model, combination oftraffic turning restriction and road network topology and the way to get the turning restrictioninformation. It also presents the algorithm and program for automatic detection of new road by using floating car trajectory data. Besides, with the intersection turning restrictions informationadded in, the traditional Dijkstra algorithm becomes unavailable. So this paper puts forward theimproved shortest path algorithm for navigation module. In the aspect of satellite positioning,beidou/GPS double switch positioning algorithm is proposed. The feasibility of the proposedalgorithm has been verified by experiment. In addition, construction of center navigation systemwith basic functions and vehicle-mounted client design has been achieved.
