The radiator as a core part of the cooling system for construction vehicle, its goodworking condition have direct effect on the normal running of the vehicle。The coolingrequirements of the cooling system is higher and higher and the limited space for theconstruction vehicle,it becomes the study hotspot that the research on the performance andthe structure optimization to obtain a radiator with high efficiency and compactstructure.This paper,based on the liquid-liquid plate-fin radiator with offset strip fin,studiedthe heat transfer characteristics and resistance characteristics of offset strip fin,theliquid-liquid plate-fin radiator overall performance and the inlet flow distribution.Firstly,this paper builds the units model and studies the velocity field, pressure fieldand temperature field of offset strip fin by using CFD.The heat transfer factor and frictionfactor of Z and H type offset strip fin in different angle and medium are analyzed.Secondly,in order to know about the performance of the liquid-liquid plate-finradiator,plate fin radiator as the research object,the test bench to measure heat transfercharacteristics of radiator is set up;The radiator simulation model is established and theinternal temperature field and pressure field are analyzed in this paper,the method ofestablishing model and simulation is proved to be correctness by comparing simulationresults with experimental results.According to the different fin structure both in cold andhot fluid side,6programs are created and simulated,the result show that the fin structureadded in the cold fluid side can effectively increase heat release,both the heat release andthe pressure loss are higher when the fin structure for H than Z type in the hot fluid side.Thirdly,based on the plate fin radiator,this paper studied the flow distribution andperformance of radiator for different entrance direction,the results showed that the inletdirection can affect the flow distribution and performance of the radiator,the radiator havethe most uniform flow distribution and the largest heat release when the fluid entrancedirection is straight,the improvement of flow distribution uniformity can reduce the pressure loss of radiator.Lastly, based on the plate fin radiator,the flow distribution and performance of radiatorfor the different core layer numbers were analyzed in this paper,the results showed that themore core layer numbers the radiator has,the worse flow distribution uniformity theradiator has and the greater difference the heat release for each core layer has,the heatrelease is more uniform of each core layer when the radiator has fewer core layer numbers.
