As a kind of traditional transmission form, worm-gear drive is widely used inengineering machinery and military fields, with large transmission ratio, impact resistant, theadvantages of stable transmission. But with the complex design principle and complicatedprocessing manufacturing methods, its transmission vice is low, it is difficult to applied inhigh precision. Thus, worm-gear drive will have a lot of limitations. In order to simplify itsdesign principle, processing principle, methods and means of manufacturing, this paper putsforward a new type of worm-gear drive, we define it quasi double lead spiroid worm-geardrive.Mainly contents of this paper:1)Fully explaining the basic theory of quasi double lead spiroid worm-gear drive.2)Design quasi double lead spiroid worm-gear, give a set of parametric design andprocessing process.3)The3D model and simulation of quasi double lead spiroid worm-gear drive.4) The research of quasi double lead spiroid worm-gearing’s processing andmanufacturing methods.5)Performance test and inspection of quasi double lead spiroid worm-gear drive.Based on the principle of double lead spiroid worm-gear drive, this paper puts forwardquasi double lead spiroid worm-gearing’s processing and manufacturing methods. Finally,we use the form of experiment to test its transmission performance in actual workingcondition. This research mainly showed:In the condition of reasonable parameter selection,appropriate lubricating oil, the quality of machining conditions′ensuring, the transmissionefficiency is not lower than other worm drive, the transmission and bearing capacity is arather competitive transfer form, also can realize large transmission ratio in the condition ofsingle stage transmission ratio, and also realize the breakthrough of single stagetransmission ratio of410/1. This paper′s experimental parts apply a ratio of410/1and55/1which was processed by the method of processing and manufacturing methods to the related experiment, then,in large single stage gear ratio (410/1) and normal cases (55/1) of thesingle stage transmission ratio,the experimental data enhanced and supported what wehave researched. The core part of the paper refers to the patent that I published during theperiod of my graduate student. The patent called quasi double lead spiroid worm-gearing’sprocessing and manufacturing methods,which had achieved national patent authorization.
