With the continuous development of Chinese aerospace industry, imaging satellites have become the main measure to acquirethe ground remote sensing information. But satellites couldonly fly around the earth in the fixed orbit with a periodic round-trip, whichlimits satellite observations range and mobility and makes a single satellite cannot carry out the continuous observation of the designated area.It needs multi-satellites work together to complete the larger regional observation mission. Because different satellite has different orbital parameters and observation range, the existing domain decomposition method cannot specify the observation region effectively according to the different satellite parameters of decomposition. The existing domestic military, civilian satellites belong to different department, which makes satellite resources can’t be scheduled and used effectively in the implementation of satellite observation mission. In particular, once occupiesnatural disasters in some areas and need to perform emergency observation missionthesatellites belonging to different departments often can’t quickly obtain a complete remote sensing image of the specified area, thus affecting the relief work.In view of the above situation, and based on the summary of the domestic and foreign related research content, this paper researchesaiming at the multi-satellite distributed collaborative mission planning issues, and its main work and innovations are as follows:(1)To introduce the theoretical concepts related to the working process of imaging satellites.Toanalyze and summarize the key factors processes and satellite observation satellite scheduling problem needs to be considered;(2)Aiming at the difficulties inmulti-satellite mission planning, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of existing regional split multi-satellite mission planning techniques and systems, then propose corresponding solutions;(3) In order to improve the efficiency of multi satellites joint observation of the designated area, designed to split the region and regional statistical methods applied to different width of satellite observations;(4) For more effective unifyingmanagement and use of satellites belonging to different departments, improving coordination of multi-satellite Earth observation mission execution efficiency, distributescollaborative design contract net protocol based on improved multi-satellite mission planning architecture, as well as to an optimization strategy in all aspects of the system;(5) Based on the above research results, developed a distributed collaborative multi-satellite mission planning system, through the appropriate application testing to verify the validity of the overall design and processing methods.
