With the progress and development of technology, the research of the high-speed railway wireless communication technology has gradually become more and more popular at home and abroad. The main purpose of this paper is to build a wireless MIMO Train-ground communication channel simulation platform in LTE system, which is fit for the four common scenes (viaducts, open land, mountains and plains) on high-speed railway. Firstly, we conducted measurements and get statistical properties of the channel parameters such as Delay Spread (DS), the angular spread of Angle of Departure (AOD) and Angle of Arrival (AOA) based on different scenes. In order to build HSRM simulation platform, we randomly generate the scattering environment between the MIMO transceivers. At last, we achieve a four-dimensional channel matrix to show each path’s impulse response. We have done many simulations based on HSRM model. Firstly, we verify multi-path effects of the high-speed channel, as well as high-speed train movement’s impact on the wireless channel, which is tested by Power Delay Profile (PDP) and Doppler power spectrum. What’s more, we have a research on antenna spacing, signal to noise ratio and other factors on spatial correlation and channel capacity from many aspects. Through bit error rate and time-domain fading characteristics simulation from different scenarios, we compared the signal quality and the radio propagation characteristics. The HSRM channel platform we proposed has great help for the study of wireless channel estimation in LTE system.
