With the development of the science and technology, aerial reconnaissance depending on unmanned aerial vehicle has been widely applied, and become one of the main means to obtain reliable information in real time. But with the increase of the UAV and sensor types, the transmission of Aerial reconnaissance info becomes the key of the UAV development. On one hand UAV information systems are not universal, sensor information transmission standards are inconsistent, leading to interoperate inefficiently, not to mention sharing information with other systems; On the other hand, aerial reconnaissance system uses wireless channel, which is easy loss, and the transmission bandwidth is limited, leading the transmission of image data inefficiently.In this paper, we study the common standard protocols for various data and image compression format thoroughly. Finally we adopt NATO7023standard and JPEG2000standard to design and realize aerial reconnaissance image information reliable transmission system. The system includes the server and the client. On the server-side, the image and auxiliary information is packed into packets and sent to different terminals. The client receives the packets from the server and splits the data into image and auxiliary info, then displays them on the interface, and the picture is displayed progressively.In this paper, we design and standardize the format of the frame which the image and the auxiliary info are packed into referring to NATO7023, which not only has good versatility, but also improves the fault tolerance of Information Transmission. And the image data which is much larger than other sensor info is compressed according to JPEG2000in order to improve transmission efficiency, and the system achieves the hierarchical transmission of image and progressive display function. Meanwhile we develop a unique UDP redundant transmission mode depending on the characteristics of JPEG2000data and other info, which well adapts to the wireless packet loss environment, taking into account the efficiency and reliability.Based on the analysis we design the overall framework of the system, and elaborate the principle and realization of JPEG2000codec module, UDP efficient transmission module, multi-threading module, interface module. The objective of this project is achieved.
