With the shortage of energy and the worsen situation of environmental pollution, new energy vehicles have made considerable progress in recent years. Motor, acting as the engine of electric vehicle, is directly related to the operational efficiency and safety of the new energy vehicle. So it is necessary to develop an automatic test system which can test the motor’s property. In order to ensure the stability and safety of motor in different scenes, testing system should have the ability of simulating real working situations, in which motor should work for a long time and the motor’s load is volatile. Based on the above consideration, a testing platform specific to electric vehicle was built and a suite software using Lab VIEW was developed to test the performance of moto. The main work are as follows.Firstly, according to the requirements of the system, a hardware platform for electric vehicle motor test was build. Then, the different equipment and its communication method between them in this platform were described.Secondly, module programs such as motor control, data acquisition, waveform display, data storage, and MATLAB expansion module were developed based on Lab VIEW. Using this module programs, it is convenient to connect the IPC and different equipment by their own protocol. And the accurate control of testing motor, the data acquisition, display, storage was realized.Thirdly, according to the demands of testing system, a good man-machine interface was developed, covering the configuration of system, manual test, automatic control and the generation of report. At last, four representative experiments was made, and the practicality of the platform was verified.
