| Cable-stayed bridge is a kind of the composite bridge structure system, which is made up of three basic components of tower, girder and cable. It is one of preferred types in long-span bridges due to its excellent performances such as good structure stress performance, large span capacity, rich structural modeling and well resistant-seismic behavior. At present, such kind of bridge has been more and more applied in our country.Cable-stayed bridge possesses a great degree of freedom in the design whose static and dynamic analysis of structure is different from that of normal bridges. In this paper, by taking Qinglan Bridge in Wenchang city of Hainan province as the project background, technical analysis of such structure is performed from the point of view of design, combined with my many years of work experiences in the Design Institute and based upon the summary of current developments on cable-stayed bridges and domestic and abroad research works. According to the design basis and technical standards, bridge site selection and comparative analysis of bridge structures is made combined with many factors such as the terrain, hydrological and geological conditions, the navigation requirements and environmental landscape, and then the essential technical points related to bridge design are described. The simulation and computational analysis on bridge structures during the process of construction and operations are performed by using a complete bridge-integrated finite element model generated by the professional bridge design software, and then several technical points and structure measures are summarized for the seismic and wind resistant design as well as durability design. The feasibility of this type of construction technology is proven combined with the technical data obtained from the construction stage. Through analysis and contrast, the Wenchang-Qinglan Bridge possesses several advantages such as light structure, mechanical behavior, practical, economic and reasonable characteristics, become a local landmark of modernization with its beautiful shape. |
