At present, a lot of experiments and theoretical studies on RC frame-shear wallstructures have been conducted.The research on the steel plate shear wall has got someachievements, but the studies on the seismic behavior and design method ofsemi-rigid concrete-filled steel tubular CFST frame-steel plate shear wall structuresystem is rare. In this paper, the seismic behavior and design method of this system wasstudied through the experiment studies, theory analysis and finite element method.(1) Quasi static test of a one story and two layer CFST frame-steel plate shearwall structure was done. The failure mode of the system was analysised. The hysteresiscurves,skeleton curves,ductility and energy dissipation characteristics of overallstructure have been studied. The influence of connection steel plate shear wall and beamto column joints was analyzed. The results of the experiments were compared with thesame size of semi-rigid CFST frame in order to know the contribution of steel plateshear wall to frame.(2) Simplified analytical models of steel plate shear wall was summarized,.Thecalculate formula of yield moment apacity and initial stiffness of the panet steel plateshear wall was given. The failure mode of nonplanel steel plate shear wallis summarized, based on the failure modes and energy method.The bearing capacity andthe initial stiffness formula of non planar steel plate shear wall was reduced.(3) According to the yield sequence of the structure system, after the bearingcapacity of each component is determined, the bearing capacity of overall structure wasanalyz. Using the displacement coordinated method, the inter story drift of frame andshear wall was calculated respectiety, elastic layer displacement of structure isgiven.Combined with the standard, the interlayer elastoplastic displacement simplifycalculation was given by calculating the equivalent damping ratio of the overallstructure(4) A reasonable hysteretic model was proposed and restoring forcemodel of two-side or four-side connected steel plate shear wall was calculated. Usingthe equivalent model, simplified the steel plate shear wall, semi-rigid connection wassimplified as a beam plastic hinge, using Sap2000for Pushover analysis and the resultswere compared with experimental results.
