This subject comes from the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863program).Which is the fourth junior issue-The key technology and equipments for the recovery of waste heat in the magnesite melting process,whose sub-project is theme project of resource environment technology field-"Energy conservation and emission reduction technology and equipments of the efficient production of fused magnesia using low grade magnesite".The Magnesium melting lump has a large number of high temperature complementary energy, which becomes one of the biggest potential of energy saving in deeply fused magnesia production. Due to the restricting factors to recycle the waste heat in magnesium melting lump, It has become a worldwide problem to recycle the waste heat energy in magnesium melting lump, Therefore, use innovative ideas to open up a new technology and new methods in energy-saving and cost-reducing of magnesite smelting process, develop magnesium melting lump residual heat resources recycle technology and equipment research, will greatly reduce energy consumption of magnesite smelting in our country promoting the sustainable development of magnesium industry, strength the industry’s international competitiveness. At the same time, the research of magnesium industry not only has the demonstration effect, but also for efficient energy-intensive industry solid waste heat recovery and utilization of open up new avenues.This article mainly revolves the magnesite smelting process of waste heat recovery key technology and equipment "to conduct. To disscuss energy recovery in the process of waste heat recovery. This article main research content is as follows.(1) On the basis of existing fused magnesium system energy saving technology presented with water as a heat carrier recovery of waste heat recovery system. Based on calculating and analyzing the available heat of the magnesium melting lump, which has not enter to the waste heat recovery room, provides relevant data parameters for design calculation of the waste heat recovery room.(2) To conduct relevant design calculation of the waste heat recovery room and relevant design description. By calculating the energy balance of the water recovery process and the efficiency problem of recycle available heat.(3) Put the fused magnesium which will be finished into the waste heat recovery room, which is cooled by water. The waste heat recovery process is simulated, analyse the change law of the magnesium melting lump’s temperature field, provides a theoretical basis for the waste recovery room’s design and operation.
