Research Of Complex Surfaces Reconstruction Based On The Reverse Engineering

As one of the hot spots of the advanced manufacturing field,reverse engineering has recently become a relatively independent research branch in CAD/CAM systems,The correlat areas contain geometric measuring,data or image processing,geometric modeling and digital manufacturing etc. Presently,the drastic competitiveness in market,which make the products life cycles shorter and shorter,requires rapidly responding for enterprise. In industry design,free-form shapes cann’t be properly described in3-D views so that the CAD models cann’t be created But reverse engineering technology can shorter the product development time,improve competitiveness.In this paper, in the basic of reading lots of literatures,surface reconstruction(Constituted by a number of sub-surface surface,rather than a single surface) as the focus of this research project.This article were studying from the following aspects:(1) This article uses independent research and development labortory coordinate measuring machine,first I study the experimental device,because the use of the laser prode,thus allowing the color of the surface,roughness,illumination and other factors on the impact of data collection,which is of great help during the experiment.(2)Point cloud acquisition is completed,that is,the point cloud processing, this paper is to add the module to remove noise, the point cloud noise filter to remove unwanted points,as well as the streamlining of the point cloud etc.For the following-up reconstruction of the point cloud block and prepareing.(3) After processing the point cloud is on the surface reconstruction, which is the focus of this researchand the difficulty, during surface reconstruction, first we have to be reconstructed on the model analysis and then point cloud block,in this paper,block for the point cloud is used as the curvature of the boundary block mutations basis for each of the blocks after the surface reconstruction is completed and its fitting,stitching,and ultimately complete the reconstruction of the model.(4) Put forward a new kind of surface reconstructing method, using the characteristic line and the point cloud in the method of curved surface reconstruction constraint, the method, and a specific example, the method is precision are high surface reconstruction.(5)Using coordinate measuring machine to obtain the point cloud of the mickey mouse.Then using Imageware software to processing data, surface reconstruction, reconstruction processing to identify and modify problems and ultimatedly achieved satisfactory results.(6) Based on the examples of the reconstruction process, through the actual operation, will reverse method and positive methods are compared, and puts forward the research analysis of reverse and positive combined with modeling method, this paper using VB control procedures to achieve data of the conversion, at the same time, between one specific example show that the method is feasible.
