As the car tyres is an important part of the safety of products, its relationship to automobile industry, so in the tyres manufactured before the safety and defects detec-tion is very important. Along with the computer and X-ray detection technology deve-opment, in tire detection field based on X-ray computer intelligent identification gradually replace artificial detection. In foreign related products have been applied to the tyres manufactured before tests, this technique can effectively overcome artificial detection, thereby causing the vicinity of on-line detection work objectification, and standardized. But in China, there is no the research of this aspect and patent, especially u-shaped detector development fields, but also go unattended.This topic to tire u-shaped detector as research object, by u-shaped detector hardware circuit design and development as the key point, designed a u-shaped detector the principle structure, and through the experimental study on the detector function and experimental environment examination. And application developed detector tires image information collection and image processing, and to collect data error analysis. This paper discusses u-shaped detector development and research, and the probe in the process of applying established image processing and recognition system of tire defects were extracted, identification. Finally the design of detector detection results, collect data error analysis for the follow-up work in this area personnel to offer reference and.This design according to the tyres own shape and material characteristics, the more humanized design, the more prepared u-shaped detector system can replace the employing eye detection and judgment tyres quality detection methods, greatly improve labor productivity, reduce production cost and improve the measuring accuracy and ensure that the results of detection accuracy, improve the tyres quality. Also indirectly reduce the traffic accident caused by tyre manufacture problems.
