Trend of development in wind power technology unit capacity is large, flexible body isto increase the size of the impeller to get more wind, but require a higher tower supporting theimpeller; Also with abundant wind resources in wind zones developed, low-velocity zone thewind turbine technology has been rapid development, in order to obtain the same rated power,longer blade length of its design, the wind swept a larger area, the corresponding higher towerheight. Thus the wind turbine to increase flexibility in the process of operation, the unit iseasy to exacerbate the problem of vibration. Excessive vibration levels not only reduces theefficiency of the unit and generate a lot of noise, and even cause some parts unit failure, lowerunit design life. So alone will increase the structural strength and stiffness of a substantialincrease in unit cost of electricity, the use of vibration control measures to solve the windturbine power is an effective way to respond to the problem.In this paper a wind farm unit vibration acceleration overrun caused alarm shutdownproblem, vibration analysis of the3MW wind farms installed models, get flexible windturbine components inherent characteristics by computer simulation, proposed the use ofmultiple tuned mass damper vibration control of wind turbines, application software, FASTand ADAMS dynamics simulation of vibration control effect. The major work is summarizedas follows:(1) The use of structural dynamics software, including the establishment of a dynamicmodel of the whole wind turbine impeller, tower, transmission and other models, which leavesthe production parameters using design data, using eight different blade airfoil plymanufacturing, blade model were considered when establishing the stiffness characteristics ofeach airfoil; tower model when considering the effect of establishing the connection flangeparameters to ensure the accuracy of the kinetic model can accurately describe the researchthe dynamics of the whole crew.(2) The dynamic model of linear processing, analysis and flexible wind turbinecomponents natural frequency, natural frequency calculated by comparing the results of its natural frequency, and with Bladed software obtained through the FAST wind turbinesimulation for vibration control device is designed provide parameters set basis.(3) According to the vibration characteristics of the wind turbine, set parameters ofmultiple tuned mass dampers, binding kinetics model, a model for vibration control. By limitgusts, turbulent wind conditions and composition of wind turbines dynamics simulationanalysis to verify the effect of the wind turbine vibration damping control before and after.In addition, through the field test in a wind farms, vibration control device to installmultiple units, to achieve the purpose of reducing vibration levels, especially to solve theproblems above rated wind speed and yaw control unit vibration acceleration accompaniedoverrun downtime. Thus the validity of the vibration control device to suppress multiple windturbine vibration levels.
