Application Of Mosaic Art In Contemporary Interior Design

This paper is mainly based on the theory of the development of mosaic form in art.After analysis and research, the view of the developing direction of mosaic in the interiordesign has been initially formed,and embodied in the actual cases. At the beginning thisarticle simply describes the development stage of mosaic art from ancient times to the presentand summarizes the particularity and importance of mosaic set in this art. Then the art anddiversity of mosaic in contemporary interior design are described in the practical aspects.From the artistic aspect the author focuses on the analysis of the architect Antonio Gaudi’sworks. His flexible application and perfect complement of mosaic have brought us theincomparable visual enjoyment. At the same time,it makes the building majestic atmospherewithout losing the luxury and delicateness. And through the analysis of diversity, itsummarizes how pleasant effect the mosaic set gives us. People are made to have differentpsychological feelings through different collage methods and colors. This paper also brieflyanalyzes the application of mosaics in other art design so as to get new inspiration and discussthe new direction of development of the mosaics in the interior design. Finally take the actualproject for example; summarize the practice and draw a conclusion through the bold attemptof mosaic application.
