The development of tunnel engineering was following the development of high-speed railway, high level highway and domestic economy. Some problems in tunnel engineering need to be solved, with the improvement of science and technology as well as the requirement of service quality. At present, many scholars have analyzed the tunnel structure based on the assumption of certainty. However, tunnel structure was an uncertainty system that contains many uncertainty factors. Certainty analysis could not correctly reflect the uncertainty problem of the tunnel system, and many errors existed in the analysis results, as well as the conclusion may opposite with real situation in sometimes. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis tunnel structure with uncertainty assumption.Interval analysis method has universal applicability in the analysis of uncertainty problem. This method is different from random and fuzzy method, and it does not need to rely on a large number of statistical data, which was used to determine the probability distribution and the membership function, to describe the uncertainty of the system, as well as less human factors influence it. Interval analysis method has been developed in the sturdy of engineering uncertainty, and many scholars applied this method to real engineering problem successfully, but the application of tunnel engineering is not enough. Hence, this paper for the purpose of analysis the tunnel structure response with uncertainty, and following tasks have been completed:(1) The analysis model of tunnel structure static response with uncertainty has been established. The interval perturbation finite element equation based on element has been derived by the finite element method and the introduction of the interval perturbation theory. Two examples were given by the considering of the homogenization of composition materials, and these examples have been solved by the derived equation.(2) The analysis model of tunnel structure dynamic response with uncertainty has been established. The Structure dynamic equation based on interval perturbation theory has been derived by the structure dynamic equation and interval perturbation theory. Through the thoughts of the homogenization of composition materials, there were given two numerical examples, as well as these examples have been solved by the derived equation.(3) Based on the forward analysis of the tunnel structure response with static and dynamic situation, two inverse models with uncertainty have been established. Based on the homogenization of composition materials, two numerical examples were given, and these were solved by the ant colony optimization algorithm based meshing strategy. The analysis method of this paper could solve the forward and inverse analysis of the tunnel structure uncertainty problem effectively and feasible, as well as this analysis method is expect to be applied to a real engineering uncertainty problem...
