Railway is a very important transport tool of our country, with the continuously improve of the train speed and train load capacity, its safety performance is worthy of attention. When the railway vehicle running, many welded key parts will occur cracks because of the fatigue. If it can not be found in time that will lead a major traffic accident risks. Currently, railway vehicle weld cracks are mainly be founded by routine inspection, however, some of the key components of weld cracks was produced in the process of applying, you should take steps to detects and measures to solve it. Therefore, the most effective method for locomotive weld detection is real-time monitoring rather than a routine check before driving. We use eddy current testing technology and the miniaturized vehicle detection device that can be placed in the key parts of the railway vehicle and the weld state of the key parts of the train can be feedback in a real-time.The eddy-current detection, according to the electromagnetic induction principle between conductors, is a very important nondestructive testing technology. Detecting probe can do very little,it is easier for materials testing which is difficult to reach places. This detection method can be widely used in many fields such as metallurgy, power industry, and railway transportation and construction industry. In view of the eddy current testing is suitable for different materials and bad environment detection, the detection technology discussed in this issue is for the detection of weld defects in railway vehicles.Research on a lot of references, current situation of the development, principle and application of eddy current testing technology are made a thorough analysis, at the same time according to the locomotive key weld requirements, this paper identifies the overall scheme of eddy current vehicle detection system, the system is mainly divided into three function modules:the detection coil excitation signal generation module, the detection coil feedback signal amplitude and phase acquisition module and the micro controller and fault diagnosis system for data communication module, and the operation parameters of eddy current vehicle detection apparatus are analyzed in detail, the specific circuit designs of each subsystem are completed on the basis of determining the overall scheme and operation parameters, and timing and data writing of the excitation signal and power amplification subroutine are made a detailed analysis, finally, the occurrence of vehicle detection coil excitation signal, amplitude and phase detection of the detection coil feedback signal and communication between the vehicle detection system and the fault diagnosis system are realized, research on key technologies weld eddy current testing system is completed.
