The brake fluid is also known as brake oil, on which hydraulic brake systems rely as working medium to transmit pressure in the system when the brake of vehicles brakes,so as to affact the automobile braking control.the pros and cons of its nature is directly related to the running safe and reliable of the car. The car brake fluid will produce gas resistance in high temperature,and its fluidity will deteriorate in low temperature. For use in high temperature and low cold areas, brake fluid must has high boiling point and excellent low temperature fluidity. In addition, the brake fluid must have good hydrolysis resistance because it is easily hydrolyzed after absorbent.This essay is to solve the problem of high cost of DOT4car brake fluid, high and low temperature performance isn’t stable and hydrolytic instability. Choose the methanol and propylene oxide as the raw material, searching for the suitable catalyst, synthetic narrow distribution of poly ether.Further synthesis of excellent properties of boric acid ester, complex dubbed DOT4brake fluid.With epoxy propane and methanol as raw materials,taking into account the ratio of raw material inspection, reaction temperature,catalyst and other conditions of its impact to determine the best conditions:propylene oxide and methanol in the molar ratio of5:l,the reaction temperature of150~170℃, catalyst of Ba(OH)2, experiments were used infrared spectroscopy and GC-MS analysis of poly ether.With polyethylene alcohol ethers, boric acid and glycol as raw materials, taking into account the ratio of raw material inspection,the conditions on the impact of the carry agent,etc, to determine the best conditions:boric acid,ethylene glycol and poly-propanolether the mass ratio of1:1:26, the reaction temperature of130℃, toluene as a carrying agent. Hydrolytic stability of the investigation,the synthesis of boric acid ester and cyclic boric acid ester hydrolysis than the chain longer.With boric acid ester as the main body oil, poly ether together as diluent, then add appropriate additives, and re-dubbed the brake fluid, brake fluid of the performance indicators for testing, and found that the brake fluid meet the standards of DOT4.
