Nowadays, EMU, which is fast, convenient, safe and comfortable, is one of the mostimportant transports for people to travel. It plays an increasingly important role in people’sproduction and life. The safe operation of EMU related to the safety of people’s life and property,therefore, its RAMS which means reliability, availability, maintainability and safety will be highdemanded. However, as an important auxiliary device, the AC contactor is widely used in thehigh.speed motor. Its reliability and service life will directly rely on the stability and security ofthe rail vehicle operation. Therefore, in.depth study of its reliability and service life as well as itsanalysis and evaluation method of them has an important significance to improve the stabilityand security of high.speed EMU.This paper expand research for the reliability evaluation of exchanges and contacts ofhigh.speed EMU and life simulation methods.According to the structural characteristics and thevoltage.current characteristics of typical AC contactor,the failure theory as the basic theory ofAC contactor failure mechanism of in.depth research and analysis, to determine the AC contactorfailure criterion,and the delimitation of its failure rating based on existing researchstandards.High.speed EMU AC contactor reliability evaluation and test conditions and designelements life simulation conducted in.depth research, test conditions and methods are given.Toconstructed AC contactor reliability evaluation and life simulation test platform for the contactormonitoring circuit, data acquisition circuit, driver control circuit and other hardware design.Withthe computer as the control core of the test platform, realize the collection of various parametersand data through the data acquisition circuit and the contact monitoring circuit, the drive controlcircuit of automatic operation control of the whole experiment platform.System testing programwas developed in LabVIEW software environment, test software and software user login startup,development process control, data acquisition and evaluation functions of the software reliabilityprogram.Based on the theory of the reliable data analysis, the article studies the parameters methodsof the point estimate of the exponential distribution and Weibull distribution. Besides, it analyzes and processes the AC contactor experimental data with the least squares, verifies the contactor failure which is more consistent with Weibull distribution, tests the distribution goodness of fit. According to the AC contactor reliability evaluation model, it also analyzes the AC contactor’sservice life in EMU. At the same time, it is proved that the paper used the correctness and validity of research methods, which provides a theoretical basis for the AC contactor reliability assessment and life prediction.
