With the development of industrialization the use of high speed transmission device ismore widely in industry. High speed transmission device can meet the engineering requirementson the transmission rate. But it has many disadvantages, such as expensive cost, equipmentwear, high failure rate, low reliability, short life and so on. So it is important to study thereliability of the wear of it.For the wear reliability of a type of high-speed transmission mechanism this paper doesthe following work:Firstly, using ANSYS software does finite element analysis for the gear transmissionmechanism of high speed transmission. Obtained the stress distribution of gear, then get weakcomponents of reliability analysis.Secondly, According to the experimental method of uniform design, establish test schemeof three factors of hardness, load and speed. Then dose the friction and wear test using the self-made testing apparatus. Get the experimental data of wear volume and wear surface morphology,the analysis these data. From which we can draw such a conclusion: wear is mainly in the formof abrasive wear, and the presence of a small amount of adhesive wear in test conditions.Thirdly, we did the single factor test abrasive hardness, load and sliding speed and thenanalyzed the influence of each factor on wear. We conclude that the wear volume decreaseswith the increase of hardness, and increases with the increase of load and sliding velocity. Thesethree factors have direct and obvious effect on wear rate. Then use the partial least squaremethod to predict the amount of wear and establish a mathematical model for the prediction ofwear.Finally, this article gives a calculation example for the gear transmission mechanism of atype of high-speed transmission mechanism. In the calculation example, using virtual prototypesimulation software ADAMS obtained the maximum allowable amount of wear and accordingto the wear prediction model calculated the reliability prediction of the same working time value and different reliability working life.This paper provides a theoretical and experimental support on prediction of wear volume,at the same time analyzes the wear reliability and gives a calculation example. In determiningthe allowable maximum wear, break through the original way, with the virtual prototypetechnology provides reference for the research of wear reliability.
