While the unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) is navigating underwater, the noisemeasurement and evaluation of it is a complex, time-consuming and costly work concerningits key product performance. Taking some UUV product as a example, this paper puts forwarda simple, fast and low cost ground vibration test to predict the complex, time-consuming andhigh cost noise assessment of the UUV underwater navigation which is the final research goalof this paper.And also this article has carried on the feasible study.First of all, in this paper the generation mechanism of the UUV underwater navigationnoise is researched deeply, and a detailed analysis and estimation of the machinery noise,propeller noise and hydrodynamic noise of the UUV underwater navigation is carried on.Based on the theory of vibration and the noise generation mechanism it is pointed out that theground vibration testing of UUV is closely associated with the UUV underwater noise so theproposed final research goal is theoretically feasible. On the basis of experimental research,after the establishment of a relatively complete UUV ground vibration acceleration testsystem, the propeller noise test system is added and the feasibility of the experiment isverified. Experimental data process and result analysis show that the research of this paper hasreached the feasible study goal and has made some phased progress: based on the UUVunderwater navigation and the mechanism research of the ground test vibration and noise, it isshown that according to the related UUV ground test the predictability of the UUVunderwater noise intensity is theoretically feasible; the non-contact propeller noise testscheme in the UUV ground test is added, which provides the means for testing an importantrelated factor the propeller noise; more suitable “inverse spectrum” signal analysis technology which has the embedded periodic signal change is adopted which provides a new method ofdata process for the fault diagnosis, the fault analysis and the noise reduction of the UUV, andso on.
