Currently among renewable power regulation technologies, installation of energy storage devices can achieve real-time power balance to relieve power fluctuations of the system; installation of reactive power compensation equipment can improve the power factor and strengthen the stability of the system; Electric Springs concept can reduce the dependence of information and communication technology for existing methods, and lower the need for the required device capacity and thus the cost.However due to the enormous potential of renewable energy power generation capacity in the market under the present conditions, installation of energy storage devices with sufficient capacity will lead to high cost; installation of shunt capacitors, synchronous condenser and other traditional reactive compensation equipment is lack of dynamic and smoothness, installation of static var compensator (SVC) and static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) and such centralized reactive power compensation equipment is not ideal for downstream voltage fluctuations; Electric Springs capacity will be limited by the series load, and this load cannot bear a voltage overflow its range of tolerance.This article mainly designed a voltage regulator topology to balance low voltage distribution network disturbance caused by the access of renewable energy generation, using a combination of controlled current source with controllable voltage source-tolerant load to connect in parallel with the point of common coupling, and put into operation in small capacity at the end of the network. The cost is lower than large-capacity energy storage device; solve the downstream limitations of SVG; and when facing low proportion series load or load voltage overrun of Electric Springs can ensure the regulating effect and series load voltage requirements. Through the establishment of the model on MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform and simulation analysis, we verified the effectiveness of the design.
