Remanufacturing as a accord with sustainable development strategy of technology,which turns used or discarded product recovery to “like-new” remanufactured onesthrough the use of various techniques, maintain the same level of the original product inthe features and durability. Remanufacturing process planning (RPP) is a key link in theprocess of recycling and reuse of used parts, as well as one of the key technologies forremanufacturing. With the support of the National Key Technology R&D Program ofChina, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Youth Science andTechnology Program of Wuhan, this paper focuses on the study of remanufacturingprocess planning from the perspective of Case-based Reasoning.First of all, a kind of RPP system structure is established based on the analysis ofthe uncertainties inherent in the remanufacturing process. Then the impact ofuncertainties is analyzed, and a CBR-based remanufacturing process planning method forused parts is proposed to fill the incomplete cases using rule-based reasoning and thevector of correction factor for local similarity is introduced to reflect the effect of targetsof problem solving.Secondly, the expression of remanufacturing process case is designed throughanalyzing the character of remanufacturing process planning, including three part of usedparts basic attribute property description, process problem property description, andprocess problem solution, the remanufacturing process knowledge is concluded and thedatabase is built. The methods of filling incomplete case-based on rule-based reasoningand the way of similarity calculation oriented to the goal of problem solving areachieved.Thirdly, according to the weight of features in the similarity, a method fordetermining the weights of key feature based on rough set is established, the similaritywas calculated combined with Nearest Neighbour Algorithm, and the case correctionmethod is studied, a new valuable process case can be deposited in the case database,complete used parts remanufacturing process planning process.Finally, Based on the discussions, a remanufacturing process planning system forused parts based on case-based reasoning is proposed in this paper. The requirement,function, framework is researched, the Visual Studio2010and Microsoft SQL Server2008are used to develop the prototype system. An example of case is used toillustrate the methods and system proposed in this paper.
