In most of the industrialized developed countries, bearings is one of the basic industry of national economy. Bearings are widely used in automobile, metallurgical machinery, mining machinery, agricultural machinery, general machinery and other industries. With the globalization of bearing manufacturing industry, the international competition is becoming fierce, which enhances the requirements for bearing performance. So, we must continuously improve the performance and service life of bearing. the operation noise is the main performance of bearing. Bearing raceway is the practical contacting position of bearing, surface quality and accuracy of bearing raceway has crucial influence to the operation noise this paper mainly research the effect of bearing accuracy and surface quality on the operation noise.The main contents is shown as follows:(1) Designing the experiment of floating abrasive polishing bearing raceway.(2) Processing the20groups of inner and outer ring by float polishing, Using roundness and roughness instrument to test the workpiece before and after processing.(3) Analysing the testing results by using the method of mathematical statistics, which includes arithmetical mean deviation of the profile Ra,ten point height of microcosmic Rz,maximum and minimum deviation contour Rmax and roundness. Analyzing the relationship between measurement data.(4) Analysing the effecting rule of bearing raceway surface quality and precision characteristics on bearing noise and deciding the main effecting index to the working noise.By the study of this paper, it is found that, bearing raceway roundness and surface roughness are improved after polishing; roundness and Rmax value are the two most important effecting indexes for the bearing running noise, it should be strictly controlled in the manufacturing process.This research has significance to deepening the cognize of bearing raceway surface quality and accuracy’s influence on it operation noise and riches surface finishing method.
