With the economy development, bridge construction likes raging fire, some of the world’s steel truss bridge is in Southwest China have launched. These projects are large in scale, investment, construction difficulty is big, in the design and management process in practical project, the urgent need to determine the reasonable construction method, the optimization of construction the construction schedule of auxiliary machinery, set realistic are simple and efficient management of the project, so as to ensure the bridge construction smoothly and reduce the engineering cost.With the continuous development of computer technology and management ideas constantly updated, in order to highlight the concept of BIM technology applied in building life cycle (BLM) phases, causing more and more attention. The core of BIM is to give the three-dimensional model with complete information flow, each order cover the construction of the entire life cycle. Through interaction and3D model, design, construction, manufacture and installation of information through classification database and dynamic association directly in front of the user, it is easy to check, modify, maintenance, management, sharing the global implementation model of information resources.This paper will introduce BIM and BLM concepts to design and construction simulation of steel truss bridge, the-STBrIM (Steel Truss Bridge Information Model). STBrIM according to the structural characteristics of steel truss bridge, using the database technology, the information model and data fusion technology of various bars and nodes, and extension on the basis of information unit, the design, construction, management information to classify, merge into the database unit is not the same, different stages in bridge construction for a user to access the call, so as to avoid the traditional design of "information isolated island" effect.Taking Inventor as the platform, the simulation system development platform for the development of STBrIM as the basic concept, the system uses the steel truss bridge is proposed. The simulation of each link, design, construction, management in the axis of the foundation, the steel truss bridge that share the same set of3D model in the whole life cycle, achieve information model of center database under the control of an amendment, everywhere modified, effectively solve the communication problem between different stages, different types of. The system developed in this paper are used in practical projects, to obtain better benefits.
