| The residence is the important carrier of the culture inheritance and development that can make people feeling the charm of Chinese Culture directly. It bears many cultural intention and spiritual needs. So the development state of Modern Chinese Style residence will make a serious influence on Chinese Culture. By contraries, Modern Chinese Style residence should inherit the excellent traditional culture of China in context and absorb the advanced culture. And Modern Chinese Style residence should combine the modern aesthetic, the means of artistic expression, the science and technology, the living mode and the view of the world and values to plan the layout and display the space of itself.The traditional residence in the Western of Hunan integrated the characteristics of other nations in the development history, it formed its own style of living. The traditional philosophy and aesthetic are its soul, the bricks, stone and plants are its body, it coexists with nature, and it full of Chuwu culture and Fengshui.This paper studied the application of the residence art in Western of Hunan to Modern Chinese Style interior interior design systematically. Firstly, it tried to sum up the characteristics of the residence art in the Western of Hunan through the custom, Spiritual and cultural characteristic, aesthetic characteristic, etc., Secondly, it descripted the characteristics of the symbol via analysising and suming up the origin and the function of building member and decorative symbols. Thirdly, this paper also analysised the color characteristics of the residence in the Western of Hunan. Finally, this paper sumed up the general strategy and means of applying the residence art in Western of Hunan to Modern Chinese Style residence interior design via combining the residence art’s heritance, functionality, aesthetic, economy, humanity, etc., It has an important effect on the heritance and innovation of the residence that bears the Chinese culture. |
